Our Top 5 Unknown Beaches Of Mexico

With over 5000 miles of coastline, Mexico is known for some stunning beaches.  Most tourists are familiar with the popular beach resorts like Cancun, the Riviera Maya, Acapulco and Puerto Vallarta, however there are thousands of other, lesser known beaches.  Here are our top 5 favorites…

 

1. Playa Del Amor, Jalisco

Located on Mexico’s Pacific coast, Playa Del Amor is only accessible by swimming through a 50 foot tunnel.  It’s incredibly beautiful and secluded.

2. Barra De Potosi, Guerrero

On Mexico’s Pacific coast is the beautiful Barra De Potosi beach.  With its golden sands and cool waters, it’s one of the loveliest beaches in southern Mexico.

3. Chuburna Puerto, Yucatan

A small fishing village near the city of Merida, Chuburna Puerto boasts a lovely beach with water that changes hue from green to turquoise to aquamarine depending on the time of year.

4. Mulege, Baja California

A beautiful area, about half way down Mexico’s Baja peninsula, the fishing village of Mulege is situated on a lovely coastline of calm waters.

A short drive from Puerto Escondido, this is a lovely, secluded bay with clean, calm water.
